SAM PHYSIS
INDEPENDENT
MUSIC PROJECT

You've found the Sam Physis Independent Music Project Website. This site is and has been under construction since the end of 2025. I've never built a website before and I've been learning the different software languages required as part of the construction process. It's just me, there is nobody else. The fundamental purpose of the website is to make my music publicly available. It's also meant to be someplace where people can just wander around and enjoy what's here. Currently what you'll find here is what this website looks like under construction. If you've ever wondered what building a website looks like you're welcome to come back and watch this one evolve as I continue to learn how this is even done. But I should warn you in advance, I don't do things like everyone else. This place probably doesn't represent anything like what you're used to encountering on the internet.

I don't much like talking about myself but since I thought it was such a great idea to create a website I guess I kinda have to. I used to be an electrical engineer. I designed and built things made with digital logic. A little before the IBM PC. The first real personal computer. That's what PC meant. Personal Computer. Later on a whole bunch of the electronics industry went overseas and I started an electrical contracting company. Just myself primarily, sometimes I'd hire somebody I knew when I had bigger jobs. I'm just now retiring. Which means I'll have to rewrite this page pretty soon to say I just retired a little while ago.

I've played guitar since I made my first one when I was about 16 I guess. It wasn't too much like what most guitars look like. But electronics being my thing you could plug it in and make it loud. A couple years later I bought a real one. I've been building music off and on for the last 5 or 6 years. I'm not under the impression I'm terribly fabulous at it but I'm making stuff that sounds a lot like music and that's more than I was expecting. So I started doing it more. And then I always thought I should have a website just because I've been around the stuff so much. And because I've released music before and have really only encountered what to me looks like funny business I thought it would make a lot more sense to build a website to make my music public. Maybe I can hook up with some vocalists, I haven't done anything with lyrics yet. There's like 7 billion people running loose on the planet, who knows what could happen.

I don't really expect this website will ever be something that's finished. I just don't work that way. It will likely be a perpetual work in progress. Not that it won't be finished in terms of functional and operational because it will be. But there's really no way to prevent me from coming up with another fabulous idea. And I'm learning the coding so soon enough I'll be able to just make a web site, poof, there's a website. OK, nothing suggests it's gonna be like that so far. I used to design this stuff it should be easy. Not a chance. At least I had a pretty good idea of what this tech stuff looks like from the inside. Not that it made it any easier but I had a pretty good idea what I was getting into. And I sure didn't over estimate how difficult it would be.

SOMETHING ELSE THAT PISSES ME OFF

And everybody just goes on with whatever like it's perfectly dandy. Well it's not perfectly dandy. It's not even slightly dandy. I'm talking about any time you buy anything on the internet anymore you can't just make a transaction and everybody's happy about it and goes back to what was fine before but is even better now because of the transaction. No. we've all had about enough of that. Now to fix that in order to buy something the new business model is the fucking SUBSCRIPTION. Can't I just buy one of these? Of course you can. And next month you can automatically buy another one. And just in case you forget the month after that you get to buy another one again. But it's a pencil sharpener. I just barely need this one. And that's why our pencil sharpener subscription is so beneficial. Well, why is it beneficial? Because the pencil sharpener subscription allows you to be able to buy the pencil sharpener that you otherwise wouldn't be able to buy. And you can cancel your subscription at any time. Just find where the subscription went to, open to the second page and follow the simple to figure out instructions. And your bank is more than happy to honor any transaction that occurs using whatever means of payment you've used with someone before as long as they still have the same information as last time. In fact, I can't even stop somebody from processing a payment to themselves without my authorization without completely cancelling my card. And this is the typical method anymore. How did this become some kind of a standard? I know as soon as I see the subscription you can cancel at any time what's going on. Why even be polite to an outfit that's using someones failure as a means to generate capitol? Like that's not what's really going on. And everyone's willing to pretend that's not what it is. How did it become normal to pretend something obvious isn't real? And I'm sick of having to check my account everyday, Not to stop anything, because I can't. But to find out if money has been unexpectedly taken out. This didn't used to be normal.
